Dave Koz & Friends Smooth Jazz Christmas Tour feat. Norman Brown, Brian Culbertson and Brenda Russell
Hot on the heels of another successful Smooth Summer Night Tour, saxophonist Dave Koz announces the eighth annual Smooth Jazz Christmas Tour. Guitarist Norman Brown, keyboardist Brian Culbertson and vocalist Brenda Russell will be joining Koz on the road this holiday season. The 21-city tour kicks off in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on November 26th (the day after Thanksgiving) and concludes on December 22nd in Long Beach, CA .
Meanwhile Capitol Records, Dave Koz's longtime label, will take "Let It Free" to radio on September 13th. "Let It Free" is the third single from "Saxophonic," Dave Koz’s current album. Both "Honey-Dipped" and "All I See Is You," the two previous singles, had lengthy runs atop the Smooth Jazz radio chart. "Honey-Dipped" spent eight weeks at #1, while “All I See Is You” was #1 for 10 consecutive weeks.
Dave Koz, who hosts a morning radio show on "The Wave" in Los Angeles and a nationally syndicated weekly smooth jazz radio show, is currently working on "Golden Slumbers II: A Father's Love," the follow-up to 2002's Grammy-nominated "Golden Slumbers," which was the first release from Rendezvous Entertainment, an independent label Dave co-founded. Marveling at Dave's many endeavors, the San Francisco Chronicle dubbed him a "multimillion-selling-one-man brand."
Dave Koz recently joined a host of smooth jazz stars paying tribute to legendary R&B vocalist Luther Vandross on "Forever, For Always, For Luther". The album, released last month, will raise funds for diabetes care and research. (Luther Vandross guested on Dave Koz's 1999 release, "The Dance," which spent over 100 weeks on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz chart.)
2004 has been another stellar year for Dave Koz. He was honored with a third consecutive Grammy nomination in the "Best Pop Instrumental Performance" category and his second NAACP Image Award nomination. But it's an honor of a different nature that's bound to have audiences talking: Dave Koz, who just came out in an interview with The Advocate this past spring, was recently named one of People Magazine's "50 Hottest Bachelors." Bring on the mistletoe!

Hi Mr. Koz. I have been to your jazz concerts the last two years performance at the Long Beach Terrace Theatre. I am really saddened to see (from your concert schedule) that you will not be performing at the L B Terrace Theatre this year. Why is that? Thanks. Wanda
