Court Date For Rush Guitarist Alex Lifeson. The Naples Daily News is reporting hat another court date has been scheduled in Florida's Collier County for a case involving Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson.

Alex Lifeson, whose real name is Alex Zivojinovich, is facing a felony charge of battery on a law enforcement officer after a fracas at the Ritz Carlton-Naples (Florida) this past New Year's Eve. He had a seasonal residence in Naples at the time of his arrest.

A "sounding" date, when the latest on the case is discussed by attorneys and the judge, has been scheduled for Jan. 5 for Zivojinovich and his son, Justin, who is facing a resisting arrest charge.

According to arrest reports and statements from witnesses, trouble started after Justin Zivojinovich got onto the stage and took over the microphone where the Ritz house band, led by William Noll, had been performing. Noll was performing alternating sets with another band on the stage led by the brother of the late, legendary singer Nat King Cole.

As court dates continue to change in the case, Alex Lifeson has been on an international 30th anniversary tour with Rush, a Canadian-based band that has won international acclaim with hits such as "Tom Sawyer". Under terms of his bond, Alex Zivojinovich can travel out of the area as part of the tour.
