Arrow Classic Rock Festival: June 11th, 2005 at Lichtenvoorde (The Netherlands) feat. Little River Band, Meat Loaf, Kansas and Styx. The new edition of Arrow Classic Festival 2005 is ready to go with a great bill.
Arrow Classic Rock Festival is the premiere Rock N'Roll event in the Netherlands. The 2005 festival has a line-up that so far includes: Styx, Kansas, Little River Band and MeatLoaf.
- Kansas: From countrymen to symphonic superstars!
Everybody knows the hit single "Dust in the Wind" from Kansas. But the band's got many more great songs! They reached the top with the album "Left Overture" from 1976. Singer Steve Walsh says: "The song "Carry On My Wayward Son" was on this album, ans I think this is one of our best songs ever, still." Kansas always played a lot of live-shows. And still, Steve Walsh is singing exact the same as in his younger years and the band still plays as adventurous and inspired as 35 years ago!
- Meat Loaf: Meat Loaf Always Fights Back
"Couldn't Have Said It Better" is the name of his last album, and this title couln't have been chosen better. Marvin Lees Aday (55) loves talking about himself, although the stories are not always that nice. The King of the rant has had a affected live. Agression has always been as a "red thread" through his life. Sometimes feeded by music, sometimes by drugs, but it used to be fed by a huge sense of inferiority.
Meat Loaf starts in the music business in 1967. And then everything is going fast! The record "Bat Out of Hell 2 - Back Into Hell" from 1993 with the hit "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" did sell 6.000.000 albums. And it's still a hit!
The album "Couldn't Have Said It Better" contains songs written by James Michael (Better Than Ezra), Nikki Sixx (Mötley Crue) and Dianne Warren. Check the new songs and off course the old hit singles at Arrow Rock Festival 2005, where Meat Loaf will show he is as aggresive onstage as back in the old times.
- Styx: The Return of Styx
Styx to Holland, that's a unique thing! They were in Holland for the last time in the beginning of the 80's, with the Paradise Theatre-Tour. Ahoy was sold out in a minute and Styx, from Chicago, treated the public to an amazing visual show. Styx was one of the American Rockbands which discovered Europe.
- Little River Band
In 2005 Litte River Band exists for 30 years! They are going to have a party on the Arrow Rock Festival for this. The 22nd album of the band, called "Test of Time," came out in 2004.
The Australian Little River Band started in 1974 and recorded the album Little River Band then. The single "Emma" was a big hit in Australia. The band first played in Holland in October 1976 in The Hague as support act of The Hollies. The record "It's A Long Way" means the European breaktrough for Little River Band. In 1977, the single "Help Is On Its Way" was a big hit in The Netherland because of an intensive radioplugging. The band is back in Holland at Arrow Rock Festival 2005!
Line up:
Wayne Nelson - bass & singer,
Stephen Housden - lead guitar,
Kevin Murphy - drums,
Glenn Reither - keyboards & sax,
Greg Hind - guitar.
The festival is supported by Arrow Rock Radio.

Styx: The Return of Styx
The author of this article doesn't have anything to say about STYX. Maybe they have never picked up a STYX album/cd or seen STYX live, too sad for them.
The lucky ones will be those going to see STYX in concert at Arrow Classic Rock Fest. One STYX song live is worth the price of admission for the whole event! From "Blue Collar Man" to "Lady" to "Boat on the River" to "Come Sail Away" to
"Renegade" this band will rock you and you will have an awesome time!
So if you are anywhere close go see STYX!
