The star-studded performance line-up for the 2005 CMT Music Awards is shining bright with the addition of Alan Jackson and Reba McEntire. With over 90 million albums sold between them, superstars Jackson and McEntire will join the previously announced Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson as they perform live on country's only fan-voted awards show. Hosted by comedy kingpin Jeff Foxworthy, and this year's only country awards televised from Nashville, the 2005 2005 CMT Music Awards will be telecast on CMT Monday, April 11 at 8:00-10:00 PM, ET.
In his 15th year as a recording artist, Alan Jackson's career only continues to soar. The low-key, high-quality style that's become one of Jackson's trademarks continues to serve him well as his most recent release, "What I Do," repeats the success of his multi-Platinum "Greatest Hits Volume II" CD (see here) and previous studio album, "Drive," by topping Billboard's Pop and Country album charts in its first week of release. The most recent country music awards show was without a doubt the worst one ever!not only was Jeff foxworthy so stupid he could not utter a full sentence without injecting Hell in it but we have had enough filth on t.v. without country music going down the drain to the sewer also. And where were the country songs? everything I heard was rock, or something that Cannot be classified! Get back to basics of COUNTY
