Alanis Morissette "Jagged Little Pill" acoustic album soon to be released, Alanis Morisette "Diamond Wink Tour" 2005.
Marking the 10th anniversary of Alanis Morissette's critically-acclaimed "Jagged Little Pill," the Gramm Award-winning artist will pair again with the original album's producer and co-composer, Glen Ballard, to record an acoustic version of the album in its entirety. In a unique agreement between Starbucks, Hear Music and Maverick Records, the album will be sold exclusively in Starbucks Company-operated stores in North America beginning June 13, 2005 -- ten years to the date of the original recording's release -- and throughout the six weeks of Morissette's first-ever acoustic tour, the "Diamond Wink Tour."
"I was in survival mode when "Jagged Little Pill" came out," says Alanis Morissette. "I am able now, with a little distance, to appreciate it and have some objectivity. I love this record and am warmed by the thought of tipping my hat to it ten years later."
After the six-week exclusive window has passed, the album will also be available broadly at multiple retail locations beyond Starbucks Company-operated stores in North America.
Summer Tour and CD Details
Alanis Morissette's "Diamond Wink Tour" will consist of acoustic performances at intimate venues throughout North America during the months of June and July, and will feature Alanis Morissette, backed by her current touring band, as she performs all of the songs from "Jagged Little Pill" that inspired the music World and Pop culture a decade earlier.
The songs on this diamond anniversary acoustic album will appear in the same order as they did on the original album, including the hidden track, "Your House." The CD package will also include extras such as special footage from the original album's era, as well as other bonus features.
Alanis Morissette, who has spent the last decade evolving as a singer, songwriter and musician, says she and Ballard "will re-interpret the songs in ways that have developed in my touring and acoustic shows over the past ten years."

I love Alanis Morisette and I love "Jagged Little Pill." I just can't believe the fact that her album is sold at Starbucks. What in the world??? "Jagged Little Pill" is about self-expression and open-mindness. Starbucks goes against all of that with the "corporate" mentality. They're taking over the world in a way that everything they sell is poisoning minds (making people more pretentious and feeding the existing "sheep mentality") and poisoning metabolism systems. Alanis would be completely and strictly against that.

I have a very important question to ask, and that is she only going to be performing in America - Canada, or please tell me she will performing her acoustic version of Jaged little pill all around the world. I am living London and would love to see her live, due to missing it when she last performed it 10 years ago.
Do the world justice Alanis and give us all the pleasure of this performance.
