Joshua Kadison, his last 4 albums to download for free on his website

Joshuakadison

Do you remember the hit song "Jessie" by Joshua Kadison? It was back in 1994. Joshua Kadison is a very talented singer-songwriter-author and pianist. His first album "Painted Desert Serenade" released in 1993 on EMI features very cool and great songs like "Jessie", "Beautiful in My Eyes" and "Postcards from L.A.". His second album "Delilah Blue" (1995) features the hit "Take It On Faith"...

Joshua Kadison is still composing, singing and writing too like in 1998, his first novella "17 Ways To Eat A Mango: A Discovered Journal Of Life On An Island Of Miracles" and he is still doing albums...

... And more interesting, Joshua Kadison offers to the fans of his songs on his official website his last 4 albums to download for free (mp3 format songs) with nice and pleasant songs... You can download Joshua Kadison albums here (with booklet covers!):

* "Saturday Night In Storyville" (1998),
* "Troubadour In A Timequake" (1999),
* "The Venice Beach Sessions - Part 1" (2005)
* and "The Venice Beach Sessions - Part 2" (2006)...

A very pleasant gift or lovers of goof music that we are happy to share with you for the New Year.

In 2006, EMI has released a Best CD of Joshua Kadison first albums and hits entitled "Essential".

Happy New Year 2008 with great Westcoast Music and AOR!

Heather Waters: Shadow Of You

Heatherwaters

Heather Waters "Shadow Of You" new album. Following the slow-burn success of her eponymous debut, Heather Waters set out to clear new musical trails with the album "Shadow Of You". After turning out a fistful of new songs with writing partner Robin Eaton, the Chicago-bred songwriter left Nashville for the dry heat and backbreaking traffic of Los Angeles; finding that even in the dessert, you can still hear the cry of steel guitar.

"Shadow O You," the highly anticipated follow-up to Waters' critically acclaimed EP, fuses together elements of bluegrass and traditional country with gritty guitars. Dark, melancholy, and dripping with pedal steel, Shadow of You flashes an austere light on Waters' passionate songwriting and otherworldly vocals.

With bassist/producer Sheldon Gomberg at the helm and an impressive cast of guest musicians turning out moving, sensitive performances, the Shadow of You sessions resulted in a remarkable collection of haunting, organic music.

Gomberg, Eric Heywood (Son Volt, Alejandro Escovedo), and Craig Macintyre (Josh Groban) anchored the band, but a host of others, including Greg Leisz and Don Heffington dropped by to lend their talents and time. Wallflower Rami Jaffee added lush B3, while David Kalish (Rickie Lee Jones) added what is arguably one of the most emotional guitar solos ever recorded. David Rawlings and Gillian Welch also helped to cement the sound not only by playing, but also by lending two songs to the mix. Heather Water's trademark intensity creeps in on the Welch-penned "You Just Don't Love Me" and Mark Simos' "A River I Can't Cross". On the sexy "Comin' Home," she pulls out the blowtorch and gets downright devilish, but it's the mesmerizing Eaton/Waters song "Josephine" that reminds us why she sings in the first place.

You can listen to some mp3 samples of Heather Waters "Shadow O You" album and buy it at this address.

Don't miss Livingston Taylor in concert with his impressive concert tour schedule.

A fan says about Livingston Taylor:
"It's funny when I look at my music collection and think about how many artists' first recordings rank as my favorite ones in their catalogue - this first recording by Livingston Taylor (from 1970, I believe) is certainly in that category. He's done a lot of fine work since then - thankfully he's still very active - but this one warms my heart and ears like few others. The songwriting style, the guitar work - he's one of the best fingerstyle players you'll ever hear - and his wonderful, warm voice all combine to make this album (and many of his others) a great listening experience. All of the songs are originals, with the exception of his great take on the George Jones classic 'Six days on the road' - and every one resounds with the creativity and spirit that make Liv Taylor's work so exceptional. He writes and sings from his heart - and there's a lot of love and wisdom contained there that he's, thankfully, willing and able to share with us. It's hard to go wrong in picking anything from his catalogue - but this is a great place to start. It's a true classic that has very ably stood the test of time."

Free mp3: Fleetwood Mac or Fleetwood Mash feat. Mick Fleetwood

Mickfleetwood

FleetwoodMash.com This is the home of the first Mash-up Supergroup - "Fleetwood Mash" - which is a "mash-up band" or "virtual band" - a virtual supergroup consisting of four legendary members thinking od Fleetwood Mac. Wait till you hear them jamming together! And Fleetwood Mac member Mick Fleetwood is in Fleetwood Mash!

What is a mash up supergroup? Well, it is artists or members of different bands mashed together to form a virtual band. Samples of the musicians or vocalists are taken from existing songs, or sample CDs that the musicians have made, and mashed together to create new songs.

In this case, Fleetwood Mash is a mash-up band with the members:

Mick Fleetwood - drums & percussion
The legendary drummer and founder of "Fleetwood Mac."
His passionate style drove the British Invasion's bold incarnation of the blues, rocked through the golden age of FM, and made inroads to new world music hybrids. Then, it happened: the ultimate Fleetwood Mac, and some of the most innovative and popular music ever created.

Rudy Sarzo - bass guitar
Sarzo's thundering bass metal punch has worked like a charm for big rock and metal contractors like Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, and Whitesnake.

Bill Laswell - guitars, basses, sythisizers, FX, beats, ambience
As a producer of albums for Bob Marley, Miles Davis, Grace Jones, Mick Jagger, Public Image, Ltd., Herbie Hancock, and Motorhead, Bill Laswell has demonstrated an unbelievable, genre-crushing production genius. The sounds themselves drift through virtual space in mutations of rock, jazz, techno, funk, hip-hop, electronica, world music, and ambient/cinematic forms.

Ilona! - Vocals
Singer and songwriter ILONA! (pronounced "EE-low-nah") has some of the newest and freshest music on the Pop/dance scene. With deep, sonorous lows and wildly high notes covering over a three octave range, Ilona! has a fresh and identifiable style of music, all her own.

And you can download the entire Fleetwood Mash album (10 songs) for free on mp3 at this address.

Christopher Reeve passed away, Christopher Reeve dies... Bye Bye Superman

Christopher Reeve passed away, Christopher Reeve dies... Bye Bye Superman!

From Blogcritics.org:
"I was saddened & shocked to hear that Christopher Reeve died yesterday of heart failure. For those of you who don't know, he portrayed Superman from 1978 to 1983 on the big screen, heralding the return of superheroes back to the movies.
Christopher Reeve fell into a coma Saturday after going into cardiac arrest while at his New York home, his publicist, Wesley Combs told The Associated Press by phone from Washington, D.C., on Sunday night.
Christopher Reeve was being treated at Northern Westchester Hospital for a pressure wound, a common complication for people living with paralysis. In the past week, the wound had become severely infected, resulting in a serious systemic infection.
Christopher Reeve was 52 years old, & it's had been 9 years since his accident left him paralyzed from the neck down. His determination & strength in coming back from paralysis really had me convinced that someday he would walk again. He has been an amazing example of one's never giving up and of eternal optimism in the face of overwhelming odds.
He was beloved and will be missed.
God Bless him and his family."

RIP

This year, a French duet (very Westcoasty, AOR) named Geyster has written and sang a track in their album "I Love 1984", by the way, a great tribute song to Christopher Reeve: Bye Bye Superman. You can listen to a great acoustic version of this great song there (mp3) and the video is there (mpeg).
