Carole King support John Kerry

Carole King is now very active in supporting Massachusetts Senator John Kerry for the Presidential Campaign of the Democrats in The States.

Simon and Garfunkel extra dates for their reunion tour?

Simon and Garfunkel have announced plans to add another leg to their current "Old Friends" reunion tour. For this tour, the duo has played to 500,000 people and bring in $53 million til December 21.
The new dates would see Simon and Garfunkel joined by their opening act The Everly Brothers for the concerts, which could expand from North America to Europe before the possibility of a brief run in Japan (beginning in the latter half of June and running through August).


Rockin' for Jimi Hendrix

Billboard has just announced that there will be a pilot tour of 3 concerts celebrating the Hendrix legacy entitled "Experience Hendrix" with the following dates: Feb. 22 at the Paramount Theatre (Seattle), Feb. 24 at Roseland Theatre (Portland) and Feb. 26 at the Warfield (San Francisco).
Artists on the stage include: Sheldon Reynolds (Earth, Wind & Fire), Joe Satriani and Paul Rodgers (Bad Company) among others.


Jack Wagner's new single and an album to follow

Via Jack Wagner's website and ACMJ International. Jack Wagner debuted a new single entitled "Going Back Again" on the January 23 episode of "The Bold & the Beautiful" daily broadcasted on CBS TV in The States. For the first time in 11 years, fans of Jack's music will have the opportunity to buy new material. You may listen to free of charge a sample of this song and also download it for $1 from the Bold & Beautiful Fan Club homepage. It's an acoustic song co-written by Jack and Jeff Pescetto. Music is signed by Brad Bell.
There is a new Jack Wagner's album for april 2004 mostly and it will be mostly acoustic.


Bernie Leadon pauses to reflect on Mirror

Bernie Leadon (The Eagles, The Flying Burrito Brothers) has released a new album (his second one, the first in 27 years) entitled "Mirror" during the last semester of 2003 in The States. The album is both available on CD and 180mg vinyl configurations at Bernie's website.
"The album title "Mirror", refers to the concept that in life we are attracted to or repelled by aspects of ourselves, which in turn are reflected by people and things around us", says Bernie.
There is an amazing list of guests on this album: David Kemper (drums), Michael Rhodes (bass), James Hooker (piano and Hammond B-3), Tommy Burroughs...
Emmylou Harris has recorded two duets: "Backup Plan" and "God Ain’t Done With Me Yet." Jim Photoglo and Jimmy Davis add harmony vocals on "Volcano". The album is produced, engineered and mixed by Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Counting Crows, Jayhawks).

The song "Hey Now Now" is airplayed on Adult Album Alternative radiostations in The States since January 12. There are also plans to have the regular version of "Mirror" album in retail stores and Amazon and other mainstream online sites in the second half of March 2004.
