David Pack New Solo CD being recorded

February through April has found David Pack writing and recording tracks for his new CD. He has written a song with David Benoit and Russ Freeman called "Travellin Light" which may become the title track. Tracks have been cut that include legendary musicians and singers: David Benoit & Russ Freeman (Rippingtons), drummers Vinnie Colaiuta & Steve Ferrone; Bassist Alex Al; Percussionist Luis Conte; with guest vocal support from the Eagles amazing vocalist/bassist Timothy Schmidt, the incomparable Steve Perry (collaborating on production of a new song), Ann Wilson of Heart, and America's classic voice of Dewey Bunnell.
David has also done some "vocalese" work on the new Benoit/Freeman smooth jazz upcoming CD.
David Pack will be perform this summer as a surprise special guest on the Benoit Freeman tour. Dates will be add in the near future.

VH1 and Blender Magazine have selected the 50 worst songs of all time for a special 2-hour program... This Top is ridiculous... Who did the survey ? Who are the persons who chose this list ?

See this Top as a production of the media society who has no taste... Because, in Music, you must respect everyone's taste... This is not a question of choice...
This is also a choice of some songs that VH1 has supported during several years as videos... This big media has no memory... This is just a question of money and big teasing there... Ridiculous... So ridiculous...

Quincy Jones charity gig in Roma feat. Natalie Cole...

Legendary record producer Quincy Jones, 71, plans a free charity gig in Roma (Italy) for grabbing proceeds to help children in war-ravaged countries (Kigali in Rwanda, Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, Asmara in Eritrea, Freetown in Sierra Leone, the Palestinian town of Nablus on the West Bank and Israel's Rishon Le'Zion).
The mega-concert called "We Are The Future" on 16 May at Rome's Circus Maximus arena. Several stars have already confirmed to be on stage: Muhammad Ali, Angelina Jolie, Cirque Du Soleil, Natalie Cole, Youssou N'Dour, Lionel Richie and Oprah Winfrey.
There will maybe a worldwide telecast.
