Peter Mayer: Nashville's "Project Reflect" Benefits From 5th Annual "Stars & Promises Alive" Holiday Concert on December 18th feat. Mac McAnally.

ex-P.M. leader and Coral Reefer Band Guitarist and Nashville resident Peter Mayer returns home to perform his 5th annual "Stars & Promises Alive" holiday concert on Saturday, December 18, 2004. A portion of each ticket sold will directly benefit Nashville's "Project Reflect," a local non-profit organization that provides supplemental reading programs for children who are at risk of failure.

The concert of traditional and original Christmas music by Mayer begins at 7:30 p.m. and takes place at Vanderbilt University's Ingram Hall located at 2400 Blakemore Avenue, Nashville, TN. Tickets are $12 for adults (age 13 and over), $8 for students. Mayer is encouraging families to attend by offering a special $35 family rate. Tickets may be purchased by calling (877) LIT-FLOK or (877) 548-3565.

"Project Reflect is very proud to be associated with Peter Mayer's 'Stars and Promises' concert this year. His spiritual and uplifting music evokes an environment that launches you into the Christmas spirit" says Mark Faulkner, President of Smithson-Berry Publications, a division of Project Reflect.

Peter Mayer along with his brother Jim Mayr, as a seven–piece ensemble of musicians and string players, are joined December 18th on the Ingram Hall stage by fellow Peter Mayer Group musician Scott Bryan on backup vocals and percussion from around the world, and Emily Randle (violin), Melissa Streuli (violin) and Gary Hodges (cello). Also contributing, Mark Holland with his Native American flutes, whistle and concert flute, and several very special guests, including Mac McAnally.

Peter Mayer, a member of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, has released 7 solo CDs, including an original collection of songs of faith titled "Stirrin' Up the Water," "Stars and Promises Alive" (recorded at Ingram Hall in 2002) and the original "Christmas Collection," "Stars and Promises". His newest CD, "Music Box," was released earlier this year. Project Reflect will also receive a portion of proceeds from each Peter Mayer CD sold at the live performance.
