Stevie Wonder will received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his groundbreaking achievements in influencing the direction of popular music worldwide at the 1st Annual Motown Music Fest, to be held September 9, 2005, at the Fox Theater in Detroit.
Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has declared September 9, 2005, as "Stevie Wonder Day." Stevie Wonder will also be presented with a key to the City of Detroit, on this historical day.
A star-studded tribute to Stevie Wonder will be held that evening featuring some of Motown's biggest artists, past and present.
