“The Roaring of Dreams”, new Pride of Lions album!

Frontiers Records is excited to announce the release of PRIDE OF LIONS brand new studio album entitled “The Roaring of Dreams” on February 16th 2007.

“With this album”, says guitarist/vocalist/keyboardist Jim Peterik “we strove to emphasize all the elements that we are best noted for: big hooks, soaring melodies, clever modulations, inspiring messages, the rock-solid Pride Of Lions band and of course Toby Hitchcock’s amazing vocal range and talent”.

“We knew this was a make or break album for Pride of Lions. We put it all out there on the Live Album/DVD: the past and the present. This album is what our future is all about ”, Peterik adds: “When we sat down with Serafino (President of Frontiers Records) last year, he suggested that Pride of Lions return to the more commercial and hook-oriented music of our first album and the Vital Signs album. I must say I was ready to do just that!”

You will hear the fruits of that conversation on melodic nuggets such as the City Boy inspired “Let Me Let You Go” and the non-stop drive of “Defying Gravity”. Another standout is “Language Of The Heart: “I must admit I was thinking of the song we used as our opener in my Survivor years, “Feels Like Love” when I wrote this one. It has the same energy and drive” says Jim. In this and every other track, the power of Ed Breckenfeld on drums, Klem Hayes on bass, Mike Aquino on guitar and Christian Cullen on keyboards is stronger than ever. Also, the production team of Jim Peterik and Larry Millas is back in force and the sound is clearer than ever.

With “The Roaring of Dreams”, this band is finally destined to outrun their individual pasts and take their place as a force to be reckoned with on their own terms. Their terms are great Melodic Rock and their name is PRIDE OF LIONS!

A David Crosby voyage by Rhino...

Produced by Graham Nash and Joel Bernstein, this three-CD, first-ever Crosby retrospective celebrates 40 years of music from one of rock's most influential figures. Spanning 1966-2006, Voyage includes two discs of essentials from The Byrds, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Crosby's solo and collaborative work, plus a third disc of previously unreleased treasures. A beautiful booklet features in-depth liner notes, tributes from a host of fellow musicians, and track-by-track commentary by Crosby as well as Roger McGuinn, Graham Nash, Phil Lesh, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and more.

Rhino Records also released "If I Could Only Remember My Name", A deluxe two-disc CD/DVD reissue of the Rock Hall of Famer's classic 1971 solo debut. Includes the previously unreleased "Kids And Dogs" (featuring Jerry Garcia on guitar), 5.1 mixes, and rare video footage.

Songwriter, rock icon, social justice activist, and master of harmony, David Crosby is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, inducted as a member of both The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash. His resume also includes a decades-long solo career, multiple albums with Graham Nash, and a wealth of jazz-flavored work with CPR, the trio Crosby formed with his son James Raymond in 1995.

A native Californian, Crosby began his storied career in the coffee house scene of the early 1960s and went on to influence the sound of country rock, the face of the Woodstock generation, and the vocal techniques employed by the Grateful Dead on such classics as Workingman's Dead and American Beauty.

Little Texas returns!!!

With over six million albums and mega hits like “What Might Have Been” and “My Love” to their credit, Duane Propes, Porter Howell, Del Gray, and Dwayne O’Brien hardly need an introduction. As part of the band Little Texas, the handful of guys all barely in their 20’s, burst onto the scene in the 90’s like a rocket, and within five years had established themselves as one of country’s “supergroups” and one of the most exciting live bands of the genre.

Even before they ever signed a record deal, the group was known as “the hardest working band in country music,” it was not uncommon for them to play over 300 shows a year, without a bus, without a driver and without tour support from a record label. They simply made it on their own, and that seasoning shows up even today. Still in the midst of a heavy tour schedule playing major markets nationwide this year, the band’s four original members are gearing up for the release of a brand new album on their new label, Montage Records, and couldn’t be happier to be back and bringing fans what they do best.

Their debut album, “First Time For Everything,” yielded five hit singles during the 90’s and launched the band in a big, big way, setting the stage for their hugely successful sophomore effort, “Big Time.” Featuring smash hits like “God Blessed Texas” and the monster ballad “My Love,” that album became Little Texas’ biggest-selling CD of their impressive career. The group toured relentlessly throughout the mid-90s on that momentum, releasing several other albums before finally taking a much-needed break.

But after a six-year hiatus from touring and recording, during which they pursued other interests and focused on their songwriting, Little Texas is back and better than ever, with a renewed energy and excitement to make more of the music that fans nationwide came to love and respect. Now they return to the airwaves with a new single titled “Your Woman” from their forthcoming studio album. As a special bonus and “appetizer,” Little Texas has “cooked up” a live album showcasing a mix of long-time Little Texas favorites and a few new songs penned and recorded by the group in pure, big and bold, in-your-face, Little Texas style. The new LIVE album LIVE AND LOUD (THE BEST OF LITTLE TEXAS) is slated for release early 2007.

Tommy Demander walks towards MECCA!

This just in from Mecca frontman Joe Vana: "Tommy Denander is one of the most hired and sought after writers, producers and guitar players today, and has turned down many offers from known bands to join them. Even though he will keep making Radioactive albums, they are only a project and Mecca is a band, and as Tommy puts it "Not just any band!"

Tommy has accepted becoming a full member of the Mecca family. His track record of more than 1,000 albums and working almost every known name in rock speaks for itself, but as Tommy says "In some ways it's also what's required to become a member of Mecca, anything less just won't cut it, I take pride in the task of creating another dimension to my work together with Joe and the guys in Mecca."
Alongside of the great Bobby Kimball and Joe Vana on Lead Vocals, the Mecca line-up consists of Shannon Forrest (Drums), David Hungate (Bass), Gordon Mote (Keys) and Christian Wolff (guitar) with Steve Lukather and Steve Farris making an appearance as guest players on the album. The line-up is complete and stronger than ever.

That is not to diminish the great contribution that Fergie Frederiksen and Jim Peterik gave to Mecca 1 - Joe Vana adds "I can never repay those guys enough for their talent and contribution to making my dream a reality with Mecca 1. Sitting around Jim's piano writing songs for Mecca was a dream realized....I will never forget it."

"As far as the new album Catharsis goes, the writing synergy between Tommy and I so far has been amazing, we think so much alike in terms of melody and space but sounds very different melodically than what we both have done separately, so it truly is a union of ideas.....this album will be a mix between Peter Gabriel and Mecca....I am going to push the Hell out of myself and Tommy to play and sing better than we ever have. Plus, I have the one of my closest friends Bobby singing next to me....not to mention that he is the single greatest Rock singer ever IMO.
There is no 'almost good enough' for this album. We have four tunes that Richard Page gave us to record and 8 that we wrote...I waited three years to assemble the needed material to do this album....Every song had to be good enough to be on Mecca 1 or better, or it didn't make it...Bobby will push me vocally to the edge, I'm not playing it safe this time."

Bobby Kimball comments about the songs: "I'm not going to be nice about it, because that's not how great songs get written. We mortals have to put aside our feelings and go for what's best for the song....". Enough said.

Visit to hear samples of the first two created by this new writing duo. Mecca will be completed first quarter of 2007 and released on Frontiers Records.
