Karla Bonoff Live!

Kblivecover

This is Karla Bonoff's first live album and the songs she performs span her entire career, from her first album through to the present. In all, there are 21 songs on 2 CDs, including two new songs. There's also a song from Karla's days in Bryndle that may be new to some fans.

This album was recorded in Santa Barbara, California - close to Karla's home base, in an intimate club setting. She's backed by her regular touring band, including long time friend and musical associate Kenny Edwards and renowned guitarist Nina Gerber. That trio has played hundreds of shows together, throughout America and Japan. They are joined by former Bryndle percussionist Scott Babcock on these recordings.

Karla Bonoff has recorded and released four solo albums as well as a "Best Of" collection and three albums with Bryndle. So why a live album now? "I have been playing so long and have never really documented what we do" Karla said recently. "I think many of these songs have improved with age and I felt like it was finally time to do that."
