Mitch Malloy releases new album "II"

Mitchmalloy-2

Mitch Malloy released Mitch Malloy II, his highly anticipated follow-up album to the RCA Records melodic rock debut, Mitch Malloy, on October 1, 2011. “For years my core fans have asked me to give them another album full of Melodic Rock and I'm proud to say that Mitch Malloy II is just that. For me, this is my real 'second album' – the true follow-up to my major label debut – the record that I've wanted to make for a long time.” Mitch's core fans have always appreciated and supported his vast spectrum of work and are especially curious about the time he was tapped to replace Sammy Hagar as the lead singer of Van Halen. But these days, Mitch is living the dream and creating the music he was born to make. In February, Mitch sequestered himself with the sole mission to take his major label debut to the next level. He reached out to his peers and the momentum began to mount. Collaborations and contributions have poured in from co-writers, acclaimed musicians and even top industry executives. Mitch teamed up with long-time friend and musical accomplice Victor Brodén to co-produce and the result is Mitch Malloy II, pure melodic rock at its best.

A dream-team of musical guests appear on Mitch Malloy II including Phil Collen (Def Leppard) who also co-wrote the song he plays on, “As Long As I'm With You.” Mitch brought on Keith Scott (Bryan Adams) to co-write “Love Song” and the renowned Randy Goodrum to co-write “Take It All,” a classic rock power ballad. Other featured guitarists are Pete Lesperance (Harem Scarem) and Keith Howland (Chicago, Rick Springfield). And for a flash-back to the self-titled album, Hugh McDonald (Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper) appears on bass and C.J. Vanston plays keys and co-wrote on Mitch Malloy II. And for a vocal treat, Jeff Scott Soto (Journey, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), Bruno Ravel (Danger Danger) and Brett Walker offered their voices to the choir on “I'm The One.” And as a special surprise to Mitch, his original band from high school, “Lightening,” flew in for a birthday celebration and to join the chorus.

Mitch will celebrate the launch of Mitch Malloy II during his highly anticipated return to Firefest in Nottingham, England on October 23, 2011. “I'm really looking forward to returning to Firefest and Nottingham…great event, amazing city and the fans who attend the festival are die-hard melodic rock fans. It's like a night in AOR paradise for me!” Advance praise has already begun for Mitch Malloy II. Here's what some of the biggest names in AOR/Melodic Rock are saying: “Man, what a voice! Power, pitch, feeling, tone…he's got it all. A great talent. Mitch's new CD is rockin'. He's never sounded better and the songs hook you the first time through.” Sir Arthur Payson

"Mitch is one of the finest voices I have heard… He has it all and is a really nice guy, too. Buy this and let's get this man the attention he deserves!" Steve Lukather

"It's finally here, he's finally back…my bud and one of the finest singers/songwriters of our time, Mitch Malloy, ready to slay us with his eponymous 2nd album…of course it couldn't be released without some backing vox by yours truly, ha-ha, but I am so happy the world gets more of Mitch Malloy again, so go GET IT!" Jeff Scott Soto

Mitch Malloy II is produced by Mitch Malloy and Victor Brodén and features 12 songs all written or co-penned by Malloy.
