Regarding Melodicrock.com, singer/Songwriter Robert Tepper has a new solo record out now titles New Life Story. The album has appeared without fanfare on iTunes for digital sale only. There is no mention of a physical release on Robert's website. But here is what he had to say about the new release: "Well it's been a long time coming the making of this record New Life Story. I've wanted to do this for ages and it's finally a reality. It's not like I ever stopped writing but usually I was working on other people's projects or finding some other excuse for not releasing a collection of songs. Wade Bowen was born and raised in Waco. He graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, spent two years living in Austin and currently resides in New Braunfels with his wife and two sons. His Texas roots run deep so it was a natural progression to complete his current project, Live at Billy Bob’s Texas CD/DVD.

His self-released 2002 album Try Not To Listen consolidated his Texas success as its title tune went Top 10 on the Texas Music Chart. The statewide sensation generated by his live shows led the following year to The Blue Light Live, an in-concert album.

With Lost Hotel in 2006, the groundswell Bowen had stroked in the Lone Star State took his single “God Bless This Town” to the top of the Texas Music Chart while its video was a Top 20 debut on CMT and spent several weeks at #1 on CMT’s Pure Country 12 Pack countdown. The vibrant buzz he had started in Texas also spread further as he hit the national road on the Lee Ann Womack and Friends tour and expanded his fan base for his live appearances into the Midwest and Southeast.

In 2008, Bowen’s release, If We Ever Make It Home debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top New Artist Chart, #29 on the Top Current Country Albums and #176 in the Top 200 Albums. It was the #3 most downloaded country album on ITunes in its first week. If We Ever Make It Home has produced four number one singles on the Texas Music Chart and Texas Regional Radio Charts. The Texas Music Chart deemed the title track and “Nobody’s Fool,” as two of the Top 30 songs of 2009. Bowen’s current music video, “Trouble” debuted at #1 and is presently aired on CMT’s Pure 12 Pack.

Legendary rock band Rush have unveiled details of its highly anticipated 2012 album, Clockwork Angels. The recording of Clockwork Angels began with Grammy Award winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones) who collaborated with the band on their 2007 studio album, Snakes and Arrows - and Rush co-producing. Lyrically, Clockwork Angels chronicles a young man's quest across a lavish and colorful world of steampunk and alchemy as he attempts to follow his dreams.

The story features lost cities, pirates, anarchists, exotic carnival, and a rigid Watchmaker who imposes precision on every aspect of daily life. It’s borderline miraculous to have a band surprise you on its 16th studio effort, but Little Feat’s "Rooster Rag" – to be released on Rounder Records June 26th, 2012 – documents a vitality that many a baby band would love to have. Bill Payne delivers four new songs written with the legendary Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. Fred Tackett contributes four songs that demonstrate some superb songwriting and singing. Paul Barrere drops a classic cover and a sizzling rocker written with the late Stephen Bruton. Sam Clayton brings it with a cover of Little Walter. New band member Gabe Ford keeps Feat’s funky rhythms going in a fashion that would have made Richie Hayward proud. And Kenny Gradney just keeps on providing a truly superb bottom end.

Recorded at long-time Bonnie Raitt guitarist Johnnie Lee Schell’s studio in Los Angeles, "Rooster Rag" includes visits from Fabulous Thunderbirds harp monster Kim Wilson, all-around string star Larry Campbell on violin, Aces Darrell Leonard on trumpet, Joe Sublet on saxophone, and additional vocals from Johnnie Lee himself.

All those other flavors add plenty, but in the end, the sound is unmistakably Little Feat. Paul Barrere reflects on it, “I’m really pleased with how it came out. Gabriel Ford steps up large – this is his first studio effort. What everybody added to everybody else’s songs is really remarkable. It was truly a collaboration and it shows – it’s a good old Little Feat album”.

Feat’s beautifully tasty blend of funk, New Orleans rhythms, Delta blues, and thirty other flavors of American music has survived the loss of several band members and the vicissitudes of touring life – in fact, it’s not only endured, but thrived. Feat doesn’t fail, and neither does "Rooster Rag".

Though this 1983 album is commonly thought of as a Mick Fleetwood solo record, it really was the product of a band, and one helluva band at that!

Aside from the Fleetwood Mac drummer who lays down the primal, bedrock rhythms for which he is famous, and for which his only rival could be Charlie Watts, the denizens of this Zoo include the great Billy Burnette and Steve Ross on guitar and vocals, session bass player supreme Roger Hawkins and, on background vocals, none other than Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham (the band got its start backing Buckingham on a Saturday Night Live appearance).

Though the album was produced by Richard Dashut, who had produced 'Rumors' and 'Tusk', 'I'm Not Me' was almost the 'anti-Tusk', a low-key affair showcasing the considerable singing and songwriting talents of Burnette, Ross and Hawkins, and featuring such inspired cover choices as the Beach Boys' "Baby Come Home", Lloyd Price's "Just Because" and Billy's homage to his father Dorsey and uncle Johnny, "Tear It Up". Given the talent assembled and the fact that it scored a hit in "I Want You Back", it's truly amazing that this engaging, infectious album has never been out on CD, the Real Gone reissue includes notes by Scott Schinder that place 'I'm Not Me' in its proper Fleetwood and Mac context.

Claude Weisberg was born in Genoa-Italy in 1966. He performed for many local artists and groups like backing vocals. He was lead vocal of progressive-rock groups called WINGS OF DESTINY and GLAMIS since 1995 til 1998. He left GLAMIS at the beginning of 1999 for starting his solist career with a project called “DIFFERENT WORLD”, showing love for his favourite music and artists as Genesis, Marillion, Toto and David Foster.

Maurizio Antognoli (AELIAN), Luca Canepa, Adriano Arena and Marco Carbone (ALIVE) enjoyed this project. After an hiatus of 12 years, on September 2011 Claude entered in studio for recording songs for his new e.p. "Here I am", released for Maia Records on July 14th and July 12th on I-Tunes.

The album, recorded and mixed at Sherwood Forest by Andrea Vassalini, contains 4 songs in perfect style between Toto and Gino Vannelli’s sounding with many important collaborations of musicians as Herman Furin (Work Of Art), Henrik Linder (Dirty Loops), Taylor Mesple, Charlie Giardina (Flamedown), Jean Michel Byron (ex Toto), Michael Thompson, Robbie Buchanan, Maurizio Antognoli, Adriano Arena, Luca Canepa, Magnus Midelf, Marco Carbone, Robert Ingebretsen .

Last May the track Men without souls ( an hymn for keeping faith and human values against life’s cruelty ) was posted on youtube as preview of the album. Singer/Saxophonist Curtis Stigers releases "Let's Go Out Tonight", a departure from Stigers' previous projects, which sidesteped the Great American Songbook completely. Rather, it includes a vibrant cross-section of pop, folk, country and soul songs from songwriters ranging from Bob Dylan, Eddie Floyd and Richard Thompson to Jeff Tweedy, Hayes Carll and David Poe, whose "Everyone Loves Lovers" was crafted expressly for Stigers. Though jazz has been integral to Curtis Stigers' musical vocabulary throughout his career, his transformation from rock/pop headliner (of the sort that filled stadiums and made Leno and Letterman appearances) to jazz vocalist is barely a decade old, dating from the release of his debut Concord album Baby Plays Around in 2001.

Sitgers is often placed at the forefront of post-millennial jazz singers, but isn't a pure jazz artist in the tradition of, say, Mark Murphy or Mel Tormé. Nor does he want to be. Critical to his unique vocal style and his inimitable interpretative skills is his ability to draw upon his checkered professional past and his wide-ranging musical tastes to synthesize myriad influences, coloring tracks with various shades of pop, country, folk, blues and classic R&B. Stigers' genre-blurring instincts have never been never been more defined than on his latest album, "Let's Go Out Tonight". Stigers also describes the new project as, "probably the most autobiographical album I've ever made. It hits so many places I've been and things I've gone through and am currently going through." Ironically, given its deeply personal nature, "Let's Go Out Tonight" is the first album since 2003's You Inspire Me that includes no original Stigers songs.

While shaping the playlist with producer Larry Klein, Stigers says he, "played him a few songs I'd written, but I hadn't been writing that much. It's been a tumultuous year, and I haven't been able to focus on songwriting. He didn't think the ones I played fit in with what we were going for, and I had to agree with him." Instead, Stigers and Klein each drew up long lists of song possibilities. "Then," Stigers explains, "I started flying down to L.A. [from Boise, Idaho, his birthplace, and once again his hometown, after many years in New York] every couple of weeks and we'd play songs for each other. He came up with a lot of songs, but I came up with a lot, too; and we ended up using more of my suggestions, which I'm very happy about. They're songs I've had in my back pocket for years and have always wanted to record. So, in a way, it feels like I wrote the album anyway."

From playing honky-tonks on lower Broadway in Nashville, to opening arena dates for John Fogerty, Vince Gill, and the legendary Kenny Rogers, Savannah Jack has honed their skills as outstanding live entertainers who captivate audiences from the very first note. The band is comprised of Don Gatlin (from Darryl & Don Ellis) on lead vocals, Jay Darby on bass, Matt Thomas Schumacher on fiddle and guitar;  drummer Matthew Crouse and  Jon Lewycky on lead guitar. Don, Jay and Matt Thomas easily take the lead on vocals in their live shows.

Prior to joining Savannah Jack this year, Matt Schumacher toured with country star Phil Vassar for seven years playing fiddle and adding vocal harmonies. “I’m excited to be on board with these guys,” commented Schumacher. “Their professionalism and musicianship are at the highest level – they’re great entertainers.” A native of Avoca, Michigan and graduate of the University of Michigan, Schumacher is an extremely talented and diverse musician. He is proficient on a myriad of instruments including violin/fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, and trumpet.

“Being on the road with these guys is really a blast,” mentioned Darby, who plays both bass and acoustic guitar. “Don is like a light switch that’s always on – there’s never a dull moment.” Born and raised in Florida, Darby started out playing the drums at age ten, while his brother played the guitar. He sold his drum set to buy his first guitar but continued playing percussion in the high-school band.

“We truly are like family…we have a lot of fun on the road and you never know what we’ll do next,” said Gatlin, also a gifted songwriter. Gatlin grew up in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, where he started singing for his neighbors for twenty-five cents or a piece of bubble gum. His mother was a talented singer who had the opportunity to open for her heroes – Kitty Wells and Wilma Lee Cooper.

It is obvious that the band loves making music and is having a blast, whether they are performing in a small venue in Nashville or playing in front of thousands of people in sold out amphitheatres across the country.
