Donald Fagen "Sunken Condos"

Fagen

Donald Fagen's fourth solo album for Reprise Records, Sunken Condos, will be released on Tuesday, October 16 2012.

His first three solo albums, The Nightfly, Kamakiriad and Morph the Cat comprised the project known as the Nightfly Trilogy. Sunken Condos begins a new chapter in the creative evolution of this innovative artist, whose career is still going strong after forty years.

The nine tracks on Sunken Condos were co-produced by Michael Leonhart and Donald. All but one track, an Ashkenazi recasting of Isaac Hayes' Out of the Ghetto, are new Fagen originals. Some familiar names from the Steely Dan family of players are on hand (Jon Herington, the Steely Dan horns, Freddie Washington) plus some new faces. The word is that, from now on, everything Donald does has got to be funky.

Zosia "S.I.N.G."

Zosia
ZoSiA was born and raised in Poland. Although she has never had formal music lessons, ZoSia obtained her first level of music while attending primary school. Between the ages six and thirteen, ZoSia learned the basics of percussion and piano and she also sang in the mandatory school choir. It was during these years she studied classical music, which gave her a solid foundation in which to expand her music abilities. In high school, the opportunity to study music was gone, so ZoSia continued to practice and learn on her own.

She started to compose lyrics and music when she was only fourteen. At this time, she was also singing in a band that played mainly jazz and bosa nova songs. She was now getting paid to perform in front of audiences for the first time ever. THIS, was the beginning of her music career. When ZoSia was around sixteen or seventeen, she concentrated more on her piano skills and she began to play pop and rock music. A couple years later, at the age of nineteen, ZoSia joined a new band where she met Tomek the drummer, her future husband. They began to compose music together, as well as perform. Eventually they moved to Denmark to promote ZoSia’s music career and they lived there with their three beautiful children for five years.

Recently, they moved back to Poland, their home country, and are now enjoying time with family and friends while pursuing new musical endeavors. It was on MySpace that ZoSia's music came to the attention of Jason Scheff, who is the lead tenor and bass player for the famous American band Chicago. While touring over in Europe in 2008, the members of Chicago met up with ZoSia and Tomek. Robert Lamm and Jason Scheff decided to help ZoSia by becoming Executive Producers for her first CD which is titled S.I.N.G. It was recently released and is quickly growing in popularity in many countries around the world.

After moving back to Poland on 2009 ZoSia appeared several times in TV shows and a huge music events like Polish National Song Festival or Eurovision Song Contest. ZoSia works in her very own home recording studio "LAB" where she creates new ideas. This have helped her with collaboration with founding member of Chicago, Robert Lamm.

In january 2012 Robert Lamm released his next solo album called "Living Proof". ZoSia co-wrote and sang on 3 from 10 songs on the album...

Glen Goto & Friends "We Go To Hilo"

Glengoto
Glen Goto received his formal musical education at Boston's Berklee College of Music as an Applied Music (Piano), Composition major. Berklee provided a great musical foundation and analysis tools he still use every single day. Big band arranging "Guru" - Herb Pomeroy had some great "richness vs. dissonance" concepts that still resonate in his soul. After college, real-world/hands-on learning came from actually working with dynamic, "listening" musicians... both live and in the studio. Today, he continue to surround himself with music and rhythms from an assortment of genres. If something sounds real good, tickling the ear - he still enter "Glen's Analysis mode" pondering "WHY did that sound so good?" "WHAT made that touch me emotionally?"

As a sideman, he have worked with a multitude of international and Hawaii-based artists..... Kalapana, Cecilio & Kapono, Keali'i Reichel, NaLeo, Seawind's Pauline Wilson, Lea Salonga, Hubert Laws, Azure McCall, Hawaiian Style Band, Rocky Brown, John Cruz, Martin Nievera, David Choy, Michael Paulo, Rachel Gonzales, Robert Shinoda, Nueva Vida, Shawn Ishimoto, Zanuck Lindsey, Damon Williams, Nohelani Cypriano, Hula Joe & the Hut Jumpers, Bruce Hamada, Motor City Angels, Bohdisatva ("Steely Dan" cover band), Andrea Lindborg's "Pele's Passions", Alysa Randolph/Jess Gopen, Sunway, Mathew Pederson, Jamarama Productions(for kids), Fred Schreuders, Vernon Sakata, Ginai, Moe Keale, Melinda Carol, Gordon Broad, Rob Yamanoha, James McWhinney, Jack Miller, Moon Brown, Ollie Mitchell, Music Magic, Asian Blend, Dick Jensen Show, Legends In Concert, Danny Couch, the Honolulu Symphony, Don Ho, Sydette, the Aliis and the "late" Loyal Garner.

Almost always accompanied Kilimanjaro with Anders Köllerfors, drums and Ronny Johansson, bass. Andreas Tillborg and Emmanuel Sandström first met at High School (Upper Secondary School in UK) when they were only 16 years old. Since then they have worked and inspired one another.

Although he’s strongly influenced by guitarists like Larry Carlton, Michael Landau, Dan Huff, Steve Lukather, Jay Graydon, Robben Ford, he try to continually develope technic and style. Therefore you can here tunes that remind you about John Mayer, Stevie Ray and other musicians in pop, rock, country and blues.

Fourplay "Esprit De Four"

Fourplay
When it comes to making music, four is often the magic number. From the Beatles to MJQ, many legendary quartets have made their mark in the classical, pop and jazz traditions. Maybe it’s the idea of four talented individuals, each approaching the other three from a unique perspective – like inspired travelers hailing from equidistant coordinates on a map – and bringing all of their talents to bear at a single point. Maybe it’s just the sheer mathematical symmetry and balance of the number itself.

Whatever the case, Fourplay has accessed that collective magic. Keyboardist Bob James, bassist/vocalist Nathan East, guitarist Chuck Loeb and drummer/percussionist Harvey Mason have tapped into the creative force that emerges when four brilliant players commit themselves to a singular goal. That symmetry and creativity are at the heart of Esprit De Four, their new CD set for release on September 18, 2012, on Heads Up International, a division of Concord Music Group.

Don Felder "Road To Forever"

Felder-Road-to-Forever

Former Eagles member Don Felder will release his first album in 29 years and only the second solo album of his career, Road to Forever, on October 9 via Rocket Science Ventures.

Felder conceived the album after his firing from the Eagles, the ensuing lawsuit and the divorce from his wife of 29 years. During the period he wrote his autobiography Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles (1974-2001), and a number of songs. Felder said he was inspired to "write out the stories of my life as songs. After I collected myself, I found I needed to go out and play music again, and that's how I began recording the album. In the process, I found out who I really am. I had to find out what happened when I almost lost it all."

The album was produced by Felder and Robin DiMaggio and includes guest appearances from David Crosby, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Steve Lukathar, David Paich, Steve Porcaro, Randy Jackson, Tommy Shaw and others.
