This is an album built around skillfully crafted songs and well produced arrangements, packed throughout with melodic hooks and background vocals put to effectful use! All in the mood and style of legends like Toto, Chris De Burgh, Don Henley and Simply Red among others. Among the featured session musicians on this album are legendary drummer Per Lindvall (ABBA, Steve Wonder, Michael Ruff, Kylie Minogue e.g.) and guitarist Peter Friestedt (Joseph Williams) - all of whom make up a great sound for Dan's smooth voice to blend with!

Heading West also includes Savik's previous single release with cover versions of David Foster's "The Best of Me" and Everly Brothers' "Let It Be Me".
