Trembles of Fortune is the solo project of Geoff Thevenot, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Chicago area. Trembles of Fortune's sound brings together classic 70s west coast studio rock and early 80s cerebral pop, providing a sophisticated and soulful backdrop for stories and observations of all-too-human frailties and indecision.

The lush arrangements and smooth, insistent grooves often belie the world-weary edge underneath, but there's hope and spirit here as well. Trembles of Fortune's self-titled debut was released in 2018, and the second full-length album, Sucker In The Promised Land, will be released early in 2020.
