Marco Taggiasco "Togetherness"

MARCO

Pure Westcoast like the the last decades did not happen. MARCO TAGGIASCO follows the path of MICHAEL BOLTON or PETER CETERA / CHICAGO tradition trough the material. A pristine production and lots of emotion almost in perfection bringing the songs to life. On vocals there are e.g. BILL CHAMPLIN, JOE PIZZULO and ANN MARIE BUSH.

“A collection of songs you could hear on the radio about 30 years ago“, so the artist. There’s nothing to add here.

Dhenibe by Dhenibe

DHENIBE

Dhenibe comes from a family of musicians: Her grandmother was an opera singer and her mother a very talented guitarist. Thanks to the Philippine karaoke culture, the family recognized Dhenibe’s talent very early on: At five, she was already memorizing lyrics — she’d perch herself on a chair in the kitchen and do what she loved most: singing.

Supported and encouraged by her mother, she gradually learned to overcome her shyness to the point that she was able to perform in front of an audience. She took part in kids’ singing competitions and played the main role singing in a musical.

With numerous live performances and studio sessions having taught her so much along the way, now Dhenibe impresses everyone with her versatile voice. She can distinctively interpret a ballad in a melancholy, soft and emotional way, and then straight after, effortlessly switch to an upbeat number and give her voice an almost throaty afro-American timbre.

Musically the singer feels most at home with smooth jazz, R&B, pop and soul, and her first solo album is a combination of all of these styles. She wrote and composed the songs herself in collaboration with Urs Wiesendanger and Bruno Amatruda. The lyrics come from spontaneous thoughts and tell stories about her life — about beauty and sadness, and of course, about love.

“Dhenibe” was recorded by Urs Wiesendanger at the Powerplay Studios in Maur and is set to be released in Spring 2020 under the NiRo Sounds label.

Contributors: Urs Wiesendanger (backing vocals drums, keys, programming), Bruno Amatruda and Dominik Rüegg (guitars)

Le Flex

LEFLEX

"Le Flex first started his music project to attract as many groupies as possible.
Instead all he gets are DJs messaging him to collaborate on their half-finished ideas.
He loves sunshine, Scotch, and looking under his bed Allow me to assault your ears with a collection of songs that would sour any dinner party.

After being lovingly crafted in my spare time away from my main job as a gigolo in the south of France, these albums are now available to earn me pence on streaming services. I thank you for your continued support."

Christian Gratz "1979"

GRATZ

Christian Gratz is a talented multi-instrumentalist and composer from Olyphant Pennsylvania. But this is not what makes him unique. Gratz was born with a rare condition called Synesthesia/Chromasthesia, which is clinically defined as the meshing of two senses. I wanted to find out how Gratz got turned on to music that was popular before his time and how his condition affects his ability to create/play music.

In the late ’70s/early ’80s, the only music that Gratz was exposed to was what he could pick up on the radio. One station he listened to played Top 40 tunes while the other played Easy Listening. Says Gratz, “I’ve always been enchanted with music because I have this thing called Synesthesia which means I see colors when I hear music. Each note has a different color.” When he was young, he thought everyone had this experience while listening to music. “I couldn’t understand why nobody else was as excited about music as I was. To me, because I have [Synesthesia] music became real, it became concrete because I see the effects of music on my brain.”
