If like me, the name Porcaro sounds familiar because you grew up listening to great music where this name was very often involved in, you will be pleased to discover this movie project launched by Steve and Chris Duddy dedicated to the Porcaro family, "Porcaro, A band Of Brothers".
The new two-part documentary, HISTORY OF THE EAGLES - The Story of an American Band, will make its television debut on Showtime. Part One will air on Friday, February 15, at 8 PM ET/PT. Part Two will premiere the following night, Saturday, February 16, at 8pm ET/PT. Granting unprecedented access, the Eagles partnered with Academy Award®-winning filmmaker, Alex Gibney, to produce this inside look into the history of the band and the legacy of its music.
Soon after a rising young singer-songwriter (Hedlund) gets involved with a fallen, emotionally unstable country star (Paltrow), the pair embarks on a career resurrection tour helmed by her husband/manager (McGraw) and featuring a beauty-queen-turned-singer (Meester). Between concerts, romantic entanglements and old demons threaten to derail them all.
"I've been invited to the movie premiere in Paris by Music Box & Dreamwest yesterday. I've been really touched by that movie. Of course, I couldn't miss a movie taking place in the country music world. I was impressed by the acting of Tim McGraw who's not just a country star but also an excellent actor. Gwyneth Paltrow, Garrett Hedlund (Tron Legacy) and Leighton Meester sing and act amazingly, offering to the story deep emotion and authenticity. Don't miss that movie and still support the good music which comes from the heart!" Arnaud Leger
